Seabourne Electronics - PROJECTS
Pacific Patrol Boat Life Extension Program (PPBLEP)
In the 1980's Australia built a number of fast patrol boats for he Pacific Island Nations as means of them protecting their dwindling fishing stocks from plunder by massive overseas fishing vessels.
Originally these vessels were to be in service for 20 years, the Australian government has now decided to extend the life of these vessels by stripping and refitting them in the Ross Haven Marine facility in Townsville.
Seabaourne Electronics is the primary supplier of Electronics expertice to this project - we supply and fit a wide range of Navigation and Communications electronics - provide training for the nation's personnel and ongoing support once the vessels have been returned to their country of origin. This project is due to continue well into 2010.
